  1. How long does it take to custom build a bamboo fly rod? On average we are running about 12 months from the time of the initial order is taken on full custom rods (Svenska Line). The Backcountry line of rods are currently sold out but more are in the works. Call or email for additional information and availability.

  2. What happens if I take delivery and I am not happy with the product? This should never happen because we are sending you constant updates as the build progresses. You will see your rod start as a bamboo culm and end up as a beautifully finished rod. But if you find something once you have it in your possession, we will make it right. We guarantee our workmanship 100%.

  3. What happens if my fly rod breaks? It depends on what caused the rod to break. Breakage from normal use is 100% covered. Breakage due to accidents or neglect are not covered but we will work with you to make sure you are happy with the repair.

  4. What makes our fly rods different? Our fly rods are designed by an expert fly caster who tests every rod to make sure it casts exceedingly well. They are designed specifically for you -- your casting style, the fishing conditions you will likely encounter and the species of fish you are targeting. It’s the difference between buying a suit or dress off the rack and having it custom made.

    Our bamboo fly rods are built using modern adhesives and finishes -- they are not your grandfather's fly rod! You will be truly amazed how well our rods cast -- and not just by the distance that you will be able to cast but by the feel of a finely built bamboo fly rod. And the real difference is what you experience after you hook a fish! You will be in a class of your own. Catching a fish on a graphite rod is one thing -- catching the same fish on a modern custom made bamboo fly rod takes that experience to a whole new level -- some have even gone so far as to call it a supernatural experience or a     spiritual awakening!
